American Goldfinch Unisex Zip Hoodie

When my sister's family built their home on a 10 acre plot in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, they named their long driveway Goldfinch Way. Now that I can no longer see her in this life, I still often think of her when I see Goldfinches. Their bright plumage and cheerful call remind me of her. Goldfinches molt twice a year, which is unusual, during the summer breeding months, they are bright yellow, while in the winter they change to a drab olive-brown color that blends in more. Their nesting season is much later than most songbirds, because they feed almost entirely off of seeds, so they have evolved to raise little ones when the seeds are plentiful.

Made from a soft cotton-polyester fleece, it features a full front zipper, roomy front pockets, a hood, and ribbed cuffs and waistband. The heavier fabric gives the garment a durable, high-quality feel while providing a substantial surface for the artwork.

FIT

This hoodie has a relaxed unisex fit with more room through the body than our previous zip hoodie. If you prefer a comfortable, easy fit, your usual size should be a good starting point.
